Milap moves into the Baltic Triangle
We are thrilled to hear that Milap, the UK’s leading Indian arts and culture company has moved into the Baltic Triangle.
Established in Liverpool back in 1985, and led by CEO and Artistic Director, Alok Nayak, the dedicated team offers regular classes, content creation opportunities, mentoring, and performance platforms.
Highlights include SAMYO, a pioneering Indian classical music youth orchestra, TARANG, a platform for emerging talents in Indian music, and INDIKA a 12-day festival celebrating Indian music, dance, and culture.
LCR Connect project goes live
The Liverpool City Region is now one step closer to becoming the most digitally connected area in the UK now the area’s flagship LCR Connect project has gone live.
Announced by Mayor Steve Rotheram, the 214km gigabit-capable full-fibre network is half-publicly owned and will transform broadband connectivity. Set to boost the local economy by £1bn and create thousands of jobs and training opportunities for local people, the impact of this project will resonate for generations, driving innovation, attracting investment, and enhancing the quality of life for all.
Barclays Game Frenzy is back
Taking place on 16 May at its Canary Wharf HQ in London, Barclays Games Frenzy spotlights important industry topics, creates opportunities for new and upcoming UK games talent and creates a great opportunity to network with others in the industry.

Kick your career film and tv career into action
Liverpool Film Office is looking for people who want to kickstart their career in film and TV, by joining ‘Action’, a brand-new skills initiative.
Aiming to support around 1,000 people into the industry by delivering an innovative, free-to-access skills programme to build a stronger and diverse screen sector in the Liverpool City Region, look out for career surgeries, training, workshops, industry bootcamps, masterclasses with established crew and opportunities for paid placements on set.
