We’ve had 100% A* – C grades for our Fine Art and Film Studio students, alongside 100% D*D* / DD for those taking the IT diploma, with other notable results in Graphics (91% A* – C) and Games Design (77% Merit or higher).
Principal Jill Davies says: “We’ve seen a real rise this year in degree apprentices, which is exciting. It’s good to see that again our students are heading to Abertay, Princeton’s top international school for video games design. They’ve all worked so hard…”

On the Creative Pathway, Ellis Campbell started with is in Y12 – it’s been a real treat to see him make lifelong friendships since he moved to the Studio. Ellis studied Art, Graphics and Lens-Based Media where he showcased exceptional story telling through comic books, animations and exceptional concept Art. Ellis is now off to study Animation at Leeds College of Art and Design following A*s in Photography and Graphics, and an A in Fine Art.
Mishelle Gino Charlton also started at the Studio in Y12. Mishelle already had exceptional drawing and painting skills, but wanted to challenge and push herself in the other areas of Art and Design. Graphics saw Mishelle overcome her frustration with digital illustration, producing work of highly developed ability and she’s now off to study Illustration at UCLAN.
Project-based learning is also a key part of the Studio curriculum, and Dylan Rimmer and Will Tedds have fully embraced the opportunity to work on their chosen projects. They have engaged with every opportunity available to them either though presenting at events or fulfilling placements, developing their work and their approach throughout their time with us.
We’re hugely proud of all of our students, and the hard work and focus they put into their qualifications.
