Every year, students from The Studio move on to some pretty amazing destinations, both locally and nationally. We’ve decided to speak to some of our previous students about their A level results, how they found life at The Studio and what they’re up to now…
I am delighted with my A Level results from the school – I needed 112 UCAS points to get on to the computer science course at LJMU and got 156. The things I did here were mainly coding based.
A lot of the work we did in the labs went above & beyond the curriculum…
When joining the Studio, it was such a new school, I had no idea what to expect from the learning environment. It turned out to be an excellent atmosphere for doing really groundbreaking work, which I hadn’t even dreamt of in my previous school. Not only were we learning things that were on the syllabus, we also learned from real-world mentors who educated us on the digital and creative sectors.
Coming to the Studio School is the best decision I’ve ever made. My high school taught me very little about computer programming and I’ve learned everything I now know since I’ve been here. I’m now going on to become a Software Programming Apprentice at Shop Direct.
I came here in year 10 because the school I came to before here didn’t really do computer science and that was what I was really looking to do in school. Coming here meant I got to meet business people who came to the school to do talks, too, and I found that very valuable. I got in to study computing in Edge Hill – which was what I wanted.
