ABOUT US
The Studio is one of the most innovative schools in the UK. We educate young people aged 14-19 for success in a digital world. Our students are creators, rather than consumers, of technology. This empowers them to generate opportunities for themselves within this growing sector. They’re also the future digital leaders who will use their expertise to improve the lives of others through the application of digital technology. Some students will use their skills in the gaming, animation, digital marketing and computer technology sectors; others will work for businesses and organisations that use digital to develop products and services.
Our school is now almost ten years old, and so for the first time our alumni includes people working in creative and digital across the country alongside those who have gone on to complete their university courses. Our former students run their own businesses from ideas born within our walls; games contributed to here are sold widely in the marketplace.

CO-LOCATED WITH LIFE SCIENCES UTC
The Studio School and Liverpool Life Sciences UTC are both based in the CUC building. We have a range of amazing facilities including art and design suites. A high-spec programming studio and many fantastic learning spaces. As we are co-located with Liverpool Life Sciences UTC we share innovation lab spaces, an engineering suite, cinema, refectories, gym and sports hall. Students can select subjects from both schools and are taught together in Key Stage 4.
BASED IN THE BALTIC TRIANGLE
Nestled in the heart of Liverpool’s creative and digital hub, the Baltic Triangle, The Studio has a strong focus on project-based learning – which taps into the flourishing businesses on our doorstep, giving our students an invaluable insight into the modern-day world of work. Our placements put our students to work in some of the north west’s award-winning digital, gaming, animation and creative facilities. And, our masterclasses expose students to industry partners and entrepreneurs.
