20,000 children in Liverpool live in food poverty
60,000 people in Liverpool have accessed a food bank within the past 12 months.
We are working with Can Cook to support the Share Your Lunch Campaign
- Raise enough money to support our Free School Meal students to access a nutritious meal each weekday during the summer holidays
- Raise awareness of hunger in Liverpool
- Provide support to find solutions to Liverpool Food Poverty
This term, we are raising funds to support the equivalent number of children within Liverpool Life Sciences UTC and The Studio School that are currently entitled to Free School Meals. During term time, these children are entitled to a free, nutritious, balanced meal in school. When our schools are closed, this support ends.
We currently have 180 students entitled to Free School Meals.
We are working to raise £10,000
With this money, we will be able to support Can Cook to provide a free meal worth £2, Monday to Friday for each week of the six week break to the 180 children in our schools who are entitled to this government support during term time.
With your help, we can continue to provide these meals to ensure our children do not go hungry this summer.
