Students Celebrate A Level Success 2015

The Studio has recorded an impressive first set of A Level results since opening in 2013, with a 97% pass rate across all A Level courses.

As the first school in the UK to specialise in digital technology and careers in the creative sector, The Studio opened in September 2013 and combines traditional subjects and qualifications with Project Based Learning (PBL) to prepare young people for their entrance into the workplace.

Overall students performed exceptionally well, with 97% of students meeting their university offers, with others successfully accessing apprenticeships and employment.

Amongst those celebrating their A Level results at The Studio was Joseph Rice, who achieved a double Distinction in Creative Media, a Distinction Star in Enterprise Studies and a Merit in IT. With over 400 UCAS points Joseph attained both a secure offer from the University of Chester and the offer of an industry apprenticeship.

Shauna Jay and Sean Murray both received excellent results and accepted offers to attend the University of Teeside to study Games Development, whilst Sam Woods accepted a place at Edge Hill University to study Computing.

Christian Pask achieved a double Distinction in Creative Media and has secured himself an apprenticeship in graphic design with Baltic Triangle App Developer Citrus Suite.
