As part of your son or daughter’s wider education in Personal Social and Health Education, we have arranged for sex and relationships education to be delivered by a Brook Young people throughout this academic year.
The highly rated programme will be delivered by experienced health professionals. Running through the programme is a theme about the benefits of delaying sexual activity. The programme will be delivered in mixed groups and will cover key topics, including contraception, sexuality, condom use, sexually transmitted infections and the legal aspects of sexual behaviour, including the internet.
We will use a “needs led and rights-based” approach to delivering SRE, this means that if other topical issues relating to risk-taking behaviour arise then we will work with Brook to deliver further sessions to keep your child safe.
Brook young people will provide this education within a fun and engaging activity based session and can offer STI screening and condom distribution if there is a need.
We are aware of any parents who withdrew their son/daughter from sex and relationships education when they enrolled at The Studio and they will not be included in this programme. Please contact the school by email: [email protected] if you would not like your son or daughter to participate in this programme.
