The Studio Presents: CoderDojo
A free computer programming club for young people.
CoderDojo is a volunteer led, global community of free programming clubs for young people and provides young people all over the world with better access to the magic behind the technology that surrounds us and touches almost everything that we do in our day to day lives.
Clubs called Dojos run all over the world on a regular basis, giving young people between the ages of 7 and 17 the opportunity to learn how to develop computer code, websites, apps, programs, games, and digital media and to explore technology.
In addition to technology skills, all participants, both young people and the adults that accompany them, enjoy the opportunity of being involved in a highly social community and experience a fun, collaborative and high energy learning environment. Young people build complementary skills of creativity, innovation, communication, collaboration, team work and leadership.
The Studio has partnered with CoderDojo to bring the Dojos to the city of Liverpool! We will be hosting a series of free Saturday morning coding classes to invite the young people of Merseyside to get hands on and learn the secrets behind the software and technology that we use every day.
Coderdojo Clubs will run from 11am – 2pm on:
Saturday 19th March 2016
Tickets are strictly limited and attendees are required to sign up for each individual session. If you are 12 or under, a parent/guardian must stay with you during the session.
